IMZ- hinged belt conveyors are used as single conveyors
on non-linked machine tools or as transport systems.
They are designed for transporting long chipping, spiral chipping
and wool chipping. Depending on the design the chipping may be transported
horizontally or to a fixed height and then deposited. For wet machining
processes the casing also acts as a storage tank for cutting fluids.
Additional combinations with various types of filter systems are also
possible.

Design
IMZ- hinged belt conveyors can be supplied with hinged belt pitches
of 38 and 50 mm. The size of the pitch depends on the load capacity
and the application of the conveyor.
Larger pitches are possible to order. The hinged belts have cams which
are welded to the hinged belt at regular intervals. For wet machining
with large quantities of cutting fluid the hinged belts may be supplied
in a perforated finish.
Modular constructed slip on gear mechanism motors with slipping clutch,
which can be universally arranged, are used as drive unit. |
Features of the SF 38 series
The main feature of the SF 38 is its low cross-section dimensions
which mean that it can offer a high transport capacity even though
it requires very little installation space. Other features include
an overall length of max. 6 m, a box height of 120 mm and a max. 60°
angle of incline to the chipping outfeed head. The transport speed
is 2 - 3 m/min, as standard. Faster speeds are possible if required
and to order. |
Features of the SF 50 series
The SF 50 is used for high loads which are characterised by the fact
that large quantities of chipping can be transported over long distances.
The SF 50 series is supplied as standard with two box heights of 150
mm and 220 mm. The maximum infeed width is 1235 mm and the maximum
transport length is up to 30 m, depending on requirements. The standard
transport speed is 3 m/min. Conveyors with infeed lengths in excess
of 4 m are supplied in several parts (flange) to optimise transport
and installation.
