Magnetic seperator MA
Classic with a high efficiency
Magnetic separators are especially irreplaceable for the purification of
grinding emulsions and oils. However machines offered at the market vary
in their performance considerably.
Based on more than 50 years of experience of our predecessor, we can
offer an efficient and optimised series of magnetic separators in various
sizes.

Magnetic separators with a capacity between 60
l/min and 400 l/min have an aluminium cast casing. Machines with
a capacity between 400 l/min and 600 l/min are welded constructions
made of stainless steel.
The magnetic filter system MA 100 (100 l/min for a viscosity of
6 mm² /s) can be seen on the photo above. The casing of the
magnetic roller has been removed to show the arrangement of the
permanent magnets.

Magnetic separators are also often used as main-filter in a filter system.
Our photo shows the filter system FA - MA100 with tank and pump.
Use
Magnetic separators are used for the fully automatic continuous cleaning
of cutting fluids with normal requirements on the purity level and when
machining ferrous, magnetic material.
Construction and operation
The filter consists of a specially designed aluminium cast casting, in
which a magnetic roller, driven by a geared motor turns continuously.
The filter is supplemented by a rubber pressure roller mounted in rockers
and a wiper plate.
The medium to be filtered is fed into the infeed container and flows over
the overflow edge in gullies towards the magnetic roller.
Since the gully outfeed is directly opposite to the magnetic poles, the
fluid flows into the areas of maximum force line concentration. As it
does so the vast majority of ferrous magnetic and other impurities are
attracted.
The fluid is them refiltered within the through-shaped bottom section.
As a result of the continuous turning of the magnetic roller the attracted
impurities are taken to the outfeed point on the wiper plate after being
crushed dry by the rubber pressure roller.
Materials and application conditions
Casing: Aluminium cast
Magnet body: Oxide ceramics
Pressure roller: Rubber, oil-resistant
Cleaning and maintenance
When cleaning the unit, the relevant accident prevention regulations and
the environmental directives must be observed. If the unit is to be at
a standstill for any length of tine we recommend that the magnetic roller
and the casting are cleaned first.
Example order
Magnetic separator for a capacity of 100 l/min with a viscosity of up
to 6 mm² /s:
Magnetic separator MA 100
To order the MA series can be supplemented with a coolant tank, pumps,
sludge box, electrical system, etc. and can also be supplied as complete
filter systems (see information sheet entitled “Filter system with
magnetic separator”).
